United Physicians and Beaumont Physician Organization to Merge

Bingham Farms, Mich.-based United Physicians announced it has reached a merger agreement with Troy, Mich.-based Beaumont Physician Organization.

After the merger, the organizations will operate under the name of United Physicians. The transition of BPO physicians to UP will being immediately and is expected to be complete by Dec. 31.

United Physicians is a group of independent physicians that has more than 1,800 members. BPO is a group of more than 1,600 private and employed physicians and is focused on reimbursement contracting for its members.
