SSM Health Care Acquires 22 Physicians from Oncology, Orthopedic Practices

St. Louis-based SSM Health Care has acquired 22 physicians from oncology and orthopedic practices, according to a St. Louis Business Journal report.

The hospital network acquired Missouri Cancer Care in January to form SSM Cancer Care oncology practice. Eight physicians became hospital employees as a result of the acquisition. In February, SSM acquired 14 private-practice physicians for the new SSM Orthopedics practice. The orthopedic physicians are now hospital-employed as well.
