The recruitment bonus applies to physicians, specialists, mid-level clinicians, therapists or registered nurses, according to the report.
The hospital, located more than 60 miles southeast of Wichita, Kan., is looking for pediatric and family practice physicians, but it has had difficulties recruiting them and other providers.
Officials believe the “Family and Friends Networking Program” will help attract providers with ties to the area or who wish to work in the community, according to the report. “It’s an opportunity to reach out into our community and ‘source,’ or identify people that might be candidates to move to our community and be part of our community as a healthcare professional,” Steve Perkins, the hospital’s CEO, said in the report.
