The system’s plan to open another office in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood brings in a sixth new office location under the plan. Suburban offices will be located in Evanston, Highland Park, Glenview, Grayslake and Deerfield, Ill.
Those communities have traditionally fallen under the umbrella of NorthShore University HealthSystem, which is anchored in Evanston.
“Many of our patients come from northern communities and up to now, they have had to travel longer distances for routine care,” Dean M. Harrison, system president and CEO, said in the release. “Our expansion brings the Northwestern care they seek closer to where they live or work, making access much more convenient.”
Five of the six new locations will open before year’s end, with the Glenview office slated to open in early 2013.
