Northeast Medical Group Adds 120 Providers

Northeast Medical Group, a group affiliated with the Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health System, has added 120 physicians and other providers to its group through the acquisition of PriMed, a primary and specialty physician practice.

In all, Shelton, Conn.-based PriMed has 500 employees at 31 locations, and those locations became Northeast Medical Group practice locations June 1.

All PriMed employees retained their jobs through the transition, according to a Connecticut Post report.

“Our partnership with PriMed will help us advance high quality care and preserve access, and do so in the most cost-efficient manner possible,” Robert Nordgren, MD, CEO of Northeast Medical Group, said in a news release.
