North Carolina’s Transylvania Regional Exploring Affiliation With Mission Health System

Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, N.C., is currently exploring a possible affiliation with Asheville, N.C.-based Mission Health System, according to a report by the Times-News.

Transylvania’s board voted in late February to officially explore an affiliation agreement. The hospital began searching for a potential partner in June.

A Transylvania official said in the report that the exploration phase is expected to take several months and only after that will legal documentation making the affiliation official be signed.
