According to the report, Saint Joseph will support Chelsea Community by implementing a master facility plan and a new information systems platform; by providing access to a variety of resources and expertise available through the larger health system and its Trinity Health parent company; and by offering new medical services and programs.
Saint Joseph has also endowed $25 million to the new Chelsea Area Wellness Foundation, which was created as a part of the merger, and will support significant Chelsea Community initiatives and community health improvement initiatives through grants.
