The grants, part of the Doctors Across New York program, will assist the providers in the training and placement of physicians in rural and inner-city areas. Physicians who accept the awards must commit to the underserved community for at least two years.
Some of the hospitals that received awards include St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx and Auburn (N.Y.) Community Hospital.
