NCQA Accredits Crystal Run Healthcare as ACO

The National Committee for Quality Assurance has accredited Crystal Run Healthcare in Middletown, N.Y., as an accountable care organization.

Crystal Run is among three other NCQA-accredited ACOs in the nation and the first organization in New York State to earn the recognition. The NCQA began accepting submissions for ACO accreditation in March 2012.

Crystal Run was designated a Level 2 ACO, the highest level of accreditation possible in the first year of accreditation. The accreditation is valid for three years.
