This new agreement expands and strengthens an existing affiliation and consulting services agreement, which the two organizations signed in 2010. As part of the new agreement, CRH will be publicly identified as an affiliate of Methodist Healthcare, and it will have access to Methodist’s clinical and business best practices, financial expertise and operating synergies, according to the release.
In addition, Methodist will assist CRH in primary care physician recruitment and give the hospital greater access to specialty physicians. Finally, Methodist recruited Eugene Cashman III to be the new CEO of CRH, effective Oct. 1.
