Marian Regional’s Dignity Health Family Medicine Center will serve as both a family practice physician office and a physician residency program next year, according to the report. The program is accepting applicants to its 2014 class and will be affiliated with the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
The hospital’s CEO hopes the program will help alleviate the area’s primary care physician shortage, according to the report.
