Healthcare Finance Executive Survey: Accountable Care Deals Should Be Top Priority

Forty-nine percent of healthcare finance executives polled in a recent Firstsource Solutions USA survey said developing accountable-care partnerships should be the top priority for the healthcare finance industry in the remainder of 2012.

However, just over half of all executives surveyed — 56 percent — agree that a strong accountable care organization network will indeed trim spending and improve the bottom line for hospitals and clinics.

Other areas healthcare finance executives said should be top priority for the industry: healthcare reform changes, health information technology solutions and meaningful use mandates.

The survey polled 100 professionals in the healthcare finance industry at the recent Healthcare Financial Management Association National Institute conference in Las Vegas.
