Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians to Provide Emergency Services at St. Luke’s in Massachusetts

Southcoast Hospitals Group in New Bedford, Mass., announced that Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston will be the new provider of medical services in the emergency department at the group’s St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.

Under the agreement, the Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians group will provide physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who will work alongside Southcoast nurses, technicians and other caregivers at the ER in St. Luke’s Hospital.

Jennifer Pope, MD, an emergency medicine physician at Beth Israel, has been named the chair of emergency medicine for St. Luke’s Hospital.
