Seventy-one percent of satisfied physicians view the increasing roles NPs and PAs play in patient care as a positive trend, while just 39 percent of dissatisfied physicians view the increase as positive, the survey found.
“Delegating more routine wellness visits and procedures to advanced practice professionals enables physicians to focus on complex cases most in need of a physician’s unique skills and knowledge,” Susan Mesa, president of AdvancedPractice.com, said in a news release.
The Jackson Healthcare survey includes 3,456 responses.
