The new urgent care center is the first of 12 slated to open throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. The Castro center will hold a ribbon cutting and grand opening event August 9, and will be open seven days a week and offer walk-in appointments and online check-ins. The facility boasts mobile X-ray technology, state-of-the-art laboratory services and seamless integration with Dignity’s EHR to help streamline the urgent care process.

“We’re excited to open our first Dignity Health-GoHealth Urgent Care center in the Castro,” Todd Strumwasser, MD, Dignity’s senior vice president of operations for the San Francisco Bay Area, said in a statement. “At this location, and future Bay Area centers, Dignity Health clinicians will have the resources and tools they need to ensure that all urgent care patients are treated with the same level of high-quality, low cost care that we provide to all of the patients in our health system.”
