According to the Boston Business Journal, Dr. Benz and Dr. Gilliland, a former Dana-Farber physician and director of the leukemia program, bet on the game, agreeing that whoever’s team loses must wear the jersey of the opposing team to work.
This means Dr. Gilliland will be sporting a Patriots jersey on a date that has not yet been determined. Additionally, he will send Dr. Benz wild Pacific salmon and Columbia Valley wines as part of the bet.
If the Seahawks won, Dr. Benz would have had to send Dr. Gilliland Sam Adams beer and Boston baked beans.
