The change will remove the geographic references in the IPA’s name, allowing it to expand into other areas. The group plans to expand east into the Napa, Calif., area.
“Strategically, it doesn’t make sense any more for our name to be tied to a geography,” Joel Criste, CEO of the network, said in the report.
