Corbyn Jensen’s family recently tried to raise money for his medical bills through a motorcycle ride fundraiser, but the boy and his stepfather ended up in the hospital after their motorcycle  and a car collided, according to KSNT.

Corbyn’s family created the motorcycle fundraiser in an effort to pay for multiple surgeries the boy had after his appendix burst. He was riding with his stepfather, Robert Adams, May 26 when they crashed outside Manhattan, Kansas.

Corbyn was released from the hospital but his stepdad remains hospitalized.

“It’s just sad because the bike ride was for my grandson, and then he’s the one that gets hurt in this accident,” Tina Adams, Corbyn’s stepgrandmother, told KSNT.
