According to the release, NantHealth — a subsidiary of NantWorks, a digital technologies and scientific research company — and Blue Shield will work with Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif., to establish a clinically-based “continuous learning center” to launch this collaborative as part of a new accountable care organization, which Blue Shield will form with Access Medical Group in Marina del Rey, Calif., and Saint John’s.
The CLC will be a platform for innovation in reimbursement, business and clinical processes, new technologies and change management. Supercomputing systems, high-speed secure-fiber networks and fact-based genomic data systems in the CLC will help bring comprehensive views of patient care, real-time wireless monitoring of patients with chronic conditions and updates on medical best practices to the physicians and patients at Saint John’s.
