Here are three things to know about Aurora’s plans.

1. Aurora plans to contract with pediatric physicians affiliated with Madison, Wis.-based UW Health’s American Family Children’s Hospital, also in Madison, according to the report. Aurora’s plans also include collaborating with UW Health to provide services on the Aurora BayCare Medical Center campus in Green Bay, Wis., and the Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, Wis., campus.

2. Aurora’s plans could put Aurora in a competitive relationship with Milwaukee-based Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, according to the report. That’s because, the report notes, pediatric physicians affiliated with UW Health’s American Family Children’s Hospital are more likely to refer patients to Madison than Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

3. Aurora’s new plans come as it looks to build an integrated health system.
