MIPS is a track under the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act, and eligible physicians were required to start reporting performance data this year to determine Medicare Part B payments.

“MACRA and MIPS have brought major changes to today’s healthcare environment. Partnerships like the MIPS collaborative enable care-provider organizations to succeed by sharing information and best practices,” Erik Johnson, vice president of value-based care at Optum Advisory Services, said in a press release.

The collaborative began in March and will continue through July 2018.
