The collaborative will assist member organizations to gain and strengthen the critical capabilities necessary to become a successful ACO, according to the release. The first meeting of the group will coincide with the AMGA National Summit on Accountable Care Organizations, taking place Sep. 29-Oct. 1 in Hollywood, Fla.
Topics explored in the collaborative will include: the roles of purchasers and payors in ACOs, models of clinical integration, critical issues in population management, standardizing care processes, employing IT systems to support reporting and transparency and legal challenges and regulatory hurdles.
