In the collaborative, participants will work to create governance and leadership structures that support aligned vision and mission around value-based healthcare, learn ways to better coordinate care and maintain sufficient capital to fund implementation and gain best practices for healthcare IT, according to the report. Members will also have opportunities to interact with participants in the CMS Physician Group Practice Demonstration, who have experience with care coordination.

The Implementation Collaborative is one of two collaboratives convened by AGMA around ACOs. The first meeting of the other group, the ACO Development Collaborative, took place in October.
