The new academic medical center creation will take about two to three years and require $145 million to $157 million in investments. The new facility will include primary care, specialty care, wellness services and an emergency center. It will have a Level I trauma program as well, according to the news release.
Alegent Creighton Health has had an affiliation with Omaha-based Creighton University since 2012. Alegent Creighton Health provides the primary care teaching sites for Creighton’s School of Medicine, College of Nursing and dentistry and pharmacy schools, according to the release.
