Question: Do you expect more or fewer practice acquisitions this year?
Tom Mallon: I don’t see the pressures slowing down on independent physician practices. Hospitals still seem in the consolidation mode in order to increase their market share and diversify their offerings. I expect the practice acquisitions to continue at the current pace.
Q: The industry is experiencing significant growth in the number of operating accountable care organizations. Can you give us input as to whether you actually know of patients covered by ACOs?
TM: We have not seen any impact of these in our markets.
