Other responses to Medscape’s survey further reveal employed physicians’ satisfaction with their practice setting.
• 53 percent believe patient care is better in the employed setting
• 49 percent are satisfied with their income (30 percent are neutral)
• 46 percent became more satisfied with their income after becoming employed
• 54 percent are satisfied with their work/life balance
• 56 percent said their work/life balance improved after becoming an employee
