2 Physician Groups Form Mercy Health Physician Partners

The physician groups of Mercy Health Muskegon (Mich.) and Advantage Health/Saint Mary’s in Grand Rapids, Mich., have come together to form Mercy Health Physician Partners.

Both groups are part of Mercy Health in Michigan, a regional partnership between Saint Mary’s Health Care and Mercy Health Partners. Mercy Health is part of Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health.  

Mercy Health Physician Partners signage“Aligning our primary care communities provides a larger platform of physicians for employers and insurance plans who seek a wider geographic coverage area,” David Blair, MD, president and CMO of Mercy Health Physician Partners in Grand Rapids, said in the news release. “This expansion provides for the creation of larger specialty teams, greater focused expertise and enhanced standards of care.”

“Becoming one organization has many benefits when efficiencies are achieved. Though this broadening of our network, we will be able to more quickly identify best practices and implement them for the benefit of our patients,” F. Remington Sprague, MD, CMO of Mercy Health Physician Partners in Muskegon, said in the release.

The physician offices of Mercy Health Physician Partners will get new signage throughout the summer, according to the release.
