Hospital Compare Update Cancelled

The Hospital Compare update for readmissions and complications data CMS planned for Oct. 10 will not occur as scheduled due to the government shutdown.

An update on QualityNet, a CMS-established website for quality improvement news, data and resources, noted the next Hospital Compare update is scheduled for Dec. 12 and will occur on schedule if the government reopens before the end of October.

The December update will include readmissions and complications data as well as the release of several new measures, according to the news release.
