HHS injects $107M into community health centers nationwide

HHS is doling out $107 million to 1,273 community health centers to improve quality, efficiency and value.

The awards are given to nearly all health centers funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration, based on earning top performance in one or more key areas, such as behavioral health, diabetes prevention and management, heart health, cost efficiency, and health IT, among others.

"This week's awards recognize especially high-achieving health centers. America's health centers are essential to producing results on our actionable public health challenges, like HIV/AIDS and the opioid crisis, as well as to building a healthcare system that delivers better value and puts the patient at the center," HHS Secretary Alex Azar said in a press release.

There are 1,400 heath centers funded by HRSA. Find award recipients here.
