Healthgrades Names 381 Patient Safety Excellence Award Recipients

Healthgrades announced 381 hospitals across the nation achieved the 2014 Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award.

According to Healthgrades, patients treated in Patient Safety Excellence Award hospitals are 73 percent less likely to experience pressure sores or bed sores compared to hospitals performing worse than expected in aggregate across the patient safety indicators evaluated by Healthgrades. Patients treated in Patient Safety Excellence Award hospitals are also 67 percent less likely to experience a catheter-related bloodstream infection.
