This integration combines CCC’s experience in outpatient cancer care with the resources of GHS’ academic health system, which will create greater access to multidisciplinary clinics, cancer sub-specialists, research trials, support services, palliative care, nutrition support, survivorship programs, prevention programs and direct patient support. The relationship will also integrate clinical, demographic and administrative data to make patient information more readily available to clinicians.
Staff members from CCC and GHS will form a transition team implement the integration in May 2012, at which point CCC’s 26 physicians and approximately 330 employees will become GHS employees.
