Leading up to the Oct. 17 launch of the data hub, throughout the last year, the UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Institute published a series of 15 state-specific data briefs that focused on Latino wellbeing across 10 areas: demography and population change; child wellbeing; digital technology; education; employment; health insurance; housing; income and poverty; transportation; and voting rights and political representation.
Healthcare leaders will be able to access the platform for free and use the data to inform decision-making.
“By equipping advocates, policymakers, and community leaders with the right information, we can help create a better future for Latinos living in the United States,” Rodrigo Dominguez-Villegas, the director of research for the institute, stated in an Oct. 17 release shared with Becker’s. “The more disaggregated data there is, the more you see yourself in it, and your experiences, and the experiences of your families and friends and your community.”
