Hand hygiene compliance survey participants sought

DebMed has opened participation in its annual survey on hand hygiene compliance to patient safety and quality or infection prevention specialists and other healthcare professionals.

The survey takes roughly five minutes to complete and responses are confidential. Results will be released to the public later this year.

Last year’s survey of more than 400 healthcare professionals found 90 percent of healthcare professionals consider “My Five Moments for Hand Hygiene,” the hand hygiene guidelines from the World Health Organization, as best practices, but only 30 percent actually follow the guidelines.
