Global WHO Campaign Focuses on Hand Hygiene

The Save Lives: Clean Your Hands global annual campaign, launched for the first time in 2009 by the World Health Organization, is launched every year on May 5 with a focus on “bringing people together to improve and sustain hand hygiene,” according to a WHO news release.

The Save Lives: Clean Your Hands campaign is an opportunity to:

•    be part of a global movement to improve hand hygiene;
•    be one of the leaders helping to prevent healthcare-association infection;
•    receive support for moving from commitment to action at the point of patient care;
