Frozen Fecal Transplant Material Has 90% C. diff Cure Rate

Patients with recurrent Clostridium difficile had a 90 percent infection cure rate following a frozen fecal microbiota transplant from unrelated donors, according to a study in Clinical Infectious Diseases.

Seventy percent of patients ceased to have diarrhea symptoms following FMT. Additionally, daily bowel movements fell from a median of seven the day before FMT to two the day after FMT.
