The award was established in 2014 by the National Patient Safety Foundation to recognize innovative work people and organizations across the continuum of care are doing to advance patient and family engagement, resulting in better, safer care and improved outcomes.
Nominees must be from the United States or Canada. The winning solutions must be innovative, patient-centered, measurable, replicable and sustainable.
This year’s award will be named by Standard Register Healthcare and the NPSF Lucian Leape Institute at the 2016 NPSF Patient Safety Congress in Scottsdale, Ariz., on May 24. The award-winning program will also be featured on EngagingPatients.org.
