Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services is working on a $150 million project at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage that will upgrade the maternity ward, operating rooms and other areas. The Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center in Fairbanks is replacing its hospital with a new 150,000-square-foot facility.
In addition, Wrangell (Alaska) Medical Center plans to break ground on a $30 million expansion project that would add space for a CT scanner and six additional long-term care beds.
