D.C. hospital monitoring potential Ebola case

Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., is treating a patient with Ebola symptoms, according to The Washington Post.

The patient had reportedly recently traveled to Nigeria, where the virus has been nearly contained. There has been no reported infection in Nigeria since Aug. 31, according to the report.

The hospital has activated infection control protocols, including isolating the patient "in an abundance of caution," according to the report.
