CMS Announces March 1 Deadline for Hospitals’ Review of Medicare Efficiency Measure

Hospitals participating in the hospital inpatient quality reporting program have until March 1 to review data reported under the new Medicare spending per beneficiary measure, according to an AHA News Now report.

The measure assesses Part A and Part B payments for services provided to Medicare beneficiaries from three days before an inpatient admission to 30 days after discharge. To review the reported data, hospitals must visit the My QualityNet website to download their performance reports before that data is published on the federal Hospital Compare website.
