CDC releases list of listeriosis-contaminated Blue Bell foods to avoid after hospital outbreak

Following the development of listeriosis in five patients who ate ice cream from Blue Bell Creameries at a Kansas hospital, the CDC has recommended institutions and retailers do not sell or serve the recalled products.

Blue Bell Ice Cream announced the recall of their three-ounce institutional, food service ice cream cups with tab lids in chocolate, vanilla and strawberry after the products were linked with the deaths of three of the five patients who became ill.

The CDC has launched a full investigation into whether other products were produced on the same line as the three-ounce institutional, food service ice cream cups and will release updates as they become available.
