CDC releases 2018 guide for healthy international travel

The CDC on Monday released its 2018 revision of its travel guide entitled CDC Health Information for International Travel.

The CDC "Yellow Book" — nicknamed for its cover — is updated every two years. The resource contains information on recommended vaccines to receive before travel and symptoms to look out for both during and after an international trip, among other information.

New updates include:

• The latest information on travel risks pertaining to Zika, Ebola and MERS

• New recommendations for the cholera vaccine

• Travel health recommendations for Cuba and Myanmar

• Recommendations for travelers with compromised immune systems

The 2018 update is now available for order in hard copy and online for free.
