CDC offers resources for ‘Get Smart About Antibiotics Week’

President Barack Obama has named Nov. 16-22 as “Get Smart About Antibiotics Week,” and the CDC has compiled a variety of resources and a listing of how several hospitals, health systems, state health departments and other organizations are participating in the week.

For instance, a global Twitter chat, hosted by the European Union’s Antibiotic Awareness Day, will be held Nov. 18 using the hashtag #AntibioticResistance. The CDC will lead the conversation from 2-4 p.m. EST.
