Brooklyn Hinsdale Nurse Beaten After Attempting to Discharge Patient

A 70-year old nurse was beaten into unconsciousness at Brooklyn (N.Y.) Hinsdale Hospital when she attempted to help a patient prepare for discharge, according to a report from NBC 4 New York.

The patient the nurse was trying to discharge, a 40-year old man named Kwincii Jones, assaulted the nurse and beat her with an IV pole. The beating ceased when other nurses intervened, according to the report. After the incident, Mr. Jones was contained in the bathroom until authorities arrived.

Mr. Jones has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and assault, according to the report.
