The hospital closed July 12 because it failed to fully correct problems identified by state inspectors. Broadwater Health Center’s 35-bed nursing home also closed July 6 for a similar reason, with the problems identified by the state largely regarding timely reporting of certain conditions and irregularities, according to the report.
Broadwater Health Center plans to implement all corrections for the hospital by Aug. 20. The state would then assess the hospital to determine whether it can reopen.
