APIC names Linda Greene its 2017 president

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology selected Linda R. Greene, RN, to serve as its 2017 president. Ms. Greene is the infection prevention manager at Highland Hospital in Rochester, N.Y.

Ms. Greene has more than 25 years of infection prevention experience. She has previously served as president of her local APIC chapter as well as the New York State APIC Advisory Council. She has also served as a board member and secretary of the APIC Board of Directors.

Ms. Greene has offered her expertise on various panels, including the CDC’s Ventilator Pneumonia workgroup and Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee surveillance workgroup.

Ms. Greene has received several honors, such as the Hospital Association of New York State’s Pinnacle Award for Quality in 2005.
