AHA Offers Palliative Care Resources

The American Hospital Association’s Community Connections initiative has made available three resources on palliative care through partnerships with national organizations, according to an AHA News Now report.

The following tools are now available at www.caringforcommunities.org:

•    The Case For Hospital Palliative Care, by the Center to Advance Palliative Care;
•    Clinical Practice Guidelines for Palliative Care, by the National Consensus Project for Quality Palliative Care; and
•    Discussion Guide to Help Clinicians Discuss Treatment Options/Palliative Care with Patients and Families, by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.

The Community Connections initiative partners with other organizations to make their resources more widely available to hospitals.
