2 AORN guidelines open for public comment

Two guidelines from the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses are now open for public comment.

The AORN Guideline for Patient Thermoregulation provides guidance for clinicians to monitor patient temperatures, prevent unplanned intraoperative hypothermia and treat malignant hypothermia, among other points. The guidelines are open for public comment through Aug. 23. Comment on the guidelines here.

The AORN Guideline for Care of the Patient Receiving Moderate Sedation/Analgesia is for registered nurses in perioperative care who treat patients who receive that type of medicine. The guidelines are open for comment through Sept. 7. Comment on the guidelines here.
