Less than 2% of the nation’s 6,093 hospitals have achieved Magnet designation at least five times, according to data from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
The ANCC has recognized nearly 650 hospitals worldwide for nursing excellence, and 112 of them have been designated and redesignated five or more times. Twenty-four hospitals recently joined the ranks after gaining their fifth Magnet designation in 2024 or 2025, according to ANCC’s database.
