The women have due dates ranging from February to August. Every nurse plans to give birth at Southfield, Mich.-based Beaumont Health’s hospitals in Troy and Royal Oak, Mich. Two women are also scheduled for cesarean sections the same day, reports WDIV Local 4.
Beaumont Hospital in Troy employs 107 nurses in its labor and delivery unit. The hospital has hired additional nurses to ensure shifts are completely covered while the 11 women are on maternity leave.
