The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is growing its long-term care options for those on Medicaid in 2027.

According to a July 2026 update, the expansion will reach more than 9,000 southeastern Wisconsin members of the state’s Family Care and Family Care Partnership programs, which cover long-term care for older adults and people with disabilities.

For Family Care, which does not cover primary healthcare services, Anthem will be new to all counties and Inclusa will come to Kenosha County and Racine County. My Choice Wisconsin, owned by Molina Healthcare, and Community Care, affiliated with CareSource, will also be available.

For Family Care Partnership, which includes primary healthcare services, Humana subsidiary Independent Care Health Plan, or iCare, is expanding into Ozaukee County, Sheboygan County, Walworth County, Washington County and Waukesha County. My Choice Wisconsin will go into Kenosha County, Racine County, Sheboygan County and Walworth County. UnitedHealthcare will be new to all counties. The timing of this program’s expansion depends on CMS approval.

“For the members who trust us with their care today, our selection represents continuity and stability,” iCare CEO Kiva Gittings Graves, BSN, said in an Aug. 5 Humana news release. “Members will continue working with the same dedicated care teams, care managers and community partners they rely on every day. At the same time, more Wisconsinites will gain access to a plan that has an excellent track record in delivering long-term services and supports.”
